Preservation and Progress Package A will be presented for the vote of San Diego City Council on February 24, 2026. Along with other groups and organizations throughout San Diego, Coastal Caretakers opposes Preservation and Progress Package A. One concern is that these plans would remove protections for historical preservation. Other groups and organizations opposed to Package A include:
All of these groups spoke in opposition of Package A at the November 2025 meeting of the San Diego Planning Commission. Preservation and Progress Package A (P&P Package A) would put into action the opposite of preservation and protection of our historical districts and historical resources.
